Staff Profile - Josh Duggan

NAME: Joshua Leigh Duggan
DOB:    04.03.92
STABLE FAVOURITE: Impossible to split Forest Babe & Bellasario

With his surname alone, Josh could have quite easily gained his share of drives each weekend in his home state of Tasmania. However at the age of 16 Josh already knew that he wanted Harness Racing to be a career rather than a hobby and in order to that, he knew that he would have to cross the Tasman Sea.  With the support of his parents Ricky and Linda he took up a job opportunity at Alford Racing Stables and four years later he is well on the way to being recognised as one of states most sought after Junior Drivers.

Josh manages to combine his responsibilities at A.R.S with his driving commitments; which often means early morning jog trips or late nights washing gear for the following day’s races but josh is not one to complain but rather relishes in the opportunity to be have the best of both worlds.

Josh is now into his 4th season of driving and will go close to driving 300 horses for the season which is testimony to the respect that he has been given as a junior driver from many trainers, both big and small, throughout Victoria.

This year has brought Josh his greatest highlights when he won the Victorians Junior Drivers Championship, landed his first double and climbed his way into the top 10 Junior Driver Ranks.
